Barkingham Palace is a small family business based in the beautiful countryside of Welham Green, run by Silvia.
Here dogs and other pets are treated like family members; we pride in giving them professional one to one attention, making sure each guest is seen to his or her specific needs.
Our lovely garden is ideal for relaxing or playing in freedom, under our watchful eyes; and whether you’re looking for grooming, daycare or boarding, you can rest assured your pet will have a mind-blowing experience.
Pets arrive scruffy and smelly, and when they leave clean, fluffy, happy and proud, it’s another successful day.

Tips for dog grooming at home
Since the outbreak of COVID-19 in 2020, more and more people have been trying to improve their grooming techniques at home. That’s why we’ve setup a video series with easy tips anyone can do at home to keep their precious pooch clean and tidy!
Curious about our history?
Our passion for all animals has been a lifelong journey, but our professional experience handling dogs and other pets started in 2009, when we started looking after other people’s animals. We then proceeded in studying dog training, which led to the discovery of our true passion in 2012, while working for a dog and cat rescue centre in Hertfordshire. Dog grooming just made us happy. Training to become professional groomers was only the beginning of this adventure.
Keeping up to date with the latest courses on grooming techniques and animal first aid is essential to expand our knowledge and always provide the best possible service.
